Commercial mushroom collecting permits
vary from forest to forest and so do the
seasons. For additional information on fees,
please call the National
Forest office near you.

Gifford Pinchot National Forest
Permits ARE required for personal use collection. One permit per person per calendar year.
Fee: Non-Consecutive Days (10 days for $10.00)

Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest
Permits are not required for personal use collection. Individuals may harvest up to 5 gallons per day.

Olympic National Forest
Permits are required for personal use collection. This permit is free for individual or family use and allows up to 50 pounds of mushrooms for personal use.
Fee: None.

Wenatchee National Forest
Permits are not required for personal use collection. Individuals may harvest up to 3 gallons per day of any species of mushroom except Matsutake (Pine) mushrooms. Any Matsutake mushroom harvesting requires a commercial permit.
