Antler Trailhead

Directions: From Silver Lake Ranger District Office: go 1/4 mile west on Highway 31 and turn left on County Road 4-11. This road turns into Forest Road 27. Take Forest Road 27 for 9 miles, then turn right on Forest Road 2804. Go 2.5 miles to Forest Road 7645, turn left and travel 5 miles to Forest Road 036. Turn left and go approximately 2.3 miles to Forest Road 038. Turn right and drive another .6 miles to the trailhead.

 

Elevation:

6,400'

 

Facilities:

5 sites with tables and fire grills, outhouse, potable water, horse corrals, hitching rail.

 

Activites:

Hiking, horseback riding, mountain bike riding, photography

 

Special Considerations:

Call for current information. Large fires on the Silver Lake District in 2002 altered access to the National Recreation Trail.

Corral Creek
Bly Ranger District

Directions: From Bly Ranger District Office: Travel 13 miles east on Highway 140, then turn left on Forest Road 3660. Take Forest Road 3660 for 13 miles, then turn right on Forest Road 34. Travel approximately 1/8 mile and turn left on Forest Road 012.
OR:
go 1 1/2 miles east on Highway 140, turn left on County Road 1259. Take County Road 1259 for 1/2 mile, turn right on Forest Road 34. Travel for 15 miles, turn left onto Forest Road 012. You should see the campground entrance sign.

From Lakeview: Travel 25 miles west on Highway 140, turn right on Forest Road 3660. Take Forest Road 3660 for 13 miles, turn right on Forest Road 34. Travel on Forest Road 34 a very short distance, turn left on Forest Road 012.

 

Elevation:

6,000'

 

Facilities:

6 tent and trailer sites, picnic tables and fire grills, NO potable water, outhouse, box style horse stalls

 

Activites:

wilderness access, birdwatching, wildlife viewing, fishing, hiking, horseback riding

Cottonwood Recreation Area

Directions: From Lakeview Ranger District Office: go two miles south on Highway 395, and turn right on Highway 140. Take Highway 140 west for 24 miles, then turn right onto FS road 3870. Stay on FS road 3870 for eight miles and you should see the trailhead sign to the left.

5,250'

 

Facilities:

rustic campsite (no outhouses), horse corrals, feeders, water trough (water is available at site)

 

Activites:

Horseback riding, birdwatching, wildlife viewing, fishing

Farm Well Trailhead

Directions: From Siler Lake Ranger Station: go east on Highway 31 for 1/8 mile and turn right on County Road 4-12. Continue south for 6 miles to forest boundary, continue 1/4 mile to junction of road 2916 and 28. Turn left on 2916 and go 6 miles to Farm Well Trailhead on your left.

 

Elevation:

5,100'

 

Facilities:

5 sites, some with picnic tables, grills, toilet horse corrals, potable water and stock pond. To check availability of potable water call 541/576-2107.

 

Activites:

Horseback riding, hiking trails mountain bike riding, photography, bird viewing.

Silver Creek Marsh Campground

Directions: From Silver Lake Ranger District Office: Go 1/4 mile west on Highway 31, and turn left on County Road 4-11. Take Forest Road 27 for 10 miles, and you should see the campground/trailhead entrance sign.

4,800'

 

Facilities:

17 tent and trailer sites, picnic tables and fire grates, potable water, horse corrals, 5 hitching rails

 

Activites:

birdwatching, wildlife viewing, fishing, wading, trails
