Directions: From Star (Applegate) Ranger Station: travel south on Upper Applegate road
for 12 miles, (past Applegate Lake and over Carberry ridge), turn right on to
Carberry Creek Road. Proceed for 7 miles before turning left on Sturgis Fork
road (FS road 1020). Go up Sturgis Fork road for 7.5 miles and turn right on road
1020-600. Follow 1020-600 for approximately 0.5 miles to spur on left that enters
the Sturgis Fork trailhead.
