Directions: From Star (Applegate) Ranger Station: travel south on Upper Applegate road for 12 miles, (past Applegate Lake and over Carberry ridge), turn right on to Carberry Creek Road. Proceed for 7 miles before turning left on Sturgis Fork road (FS road 1020). Go up Sturgis Fork road for 7.5 miles and turn right on road 1020-600. Follow 1020-600 for approximately 0.5 miles to spur on left that enters the Sturgis Fork trailhead.

Undeveloped camping at trailhead, rock fire pits, corral

Directions: From Medford: travel 30 miles east on Highway 140, then 3 miles north on FS road 37, 1 mile west on FS road 3738, then 1/2 mile south on FS road 3735.

10 sites with corrals for 2-4 horses at each site, vault toilets, potable water, 1 site with historic cabin (recreation rental) and corral.
