Sam Brown Horse Camp

From Grants Pass: travel north on I-5 to Exit 61 (Merlin). Turn left (travel west) on the Merlin-Galice Road for 12 miles to Taylor Creek Road (FS road 25), turn left. Continue 14 miles to FS road 2512, turn right. Sam Brown Horse Camp is just across the bridge, adjacent to Sam Brown Campground.

Facilities:

7 sites with corrals for 2-4 horses each, hitching posts, horse corrals, accessible toilet facility

 

Activities:

Many trails including Dutchy Creek Trail (#1146), Briggs Creek Trail (#1132), Taylor Creek Trail (#1142), Onion Way Trail (#1281). Call the Ranger Office for conditions or check the Siskiyou website.
