take Highway 203 south of La Grande through Union, to Medical Springs, take FS road 67 to FS road 77 junction, go left on road 7755 to end of road, 4 miles.

Moss Springs Guard Station

Direction:

From La Grande take State Hwy 82 to Island City, travel east on State Hwy 237 to Cove (13 miles). In Cove turn left at the church, followCounty Road 65 (Mill Creek Rd) to FS Rd 6220. The last ten miles of this road are steep. Turn left on 6220-380 to Moss Springs Guard Station.

 
 

Elevation:

5,800'

 

Facilities:

Station includes: The cabin is equipped with most utensils for cooking and eating, a gas stove, refrigerator, propane heater, comfortable furnishings, and enough beds to sleep 12 people. Runnig water is available during the summer months. A new outhouse is just 20 yards east of the cain.
Horse facilities: horse corral with room for 6-8 horses, stock water.
